Long Beach Poly (21-7, 11-1) @ Oak Park (21-6, 8-0) 7pm
Long Beach Poly comes to town looking to put an end to Oak Park’s 12 game winning streak.  The Jackrabbits always bring their grittiness to the forefront.   Oak Park’s Big Man Ezekial Richards scooped up an offer from Santa Clara. Now that recruiting is out of the way, Richards can focus his attention exclusively on getting healthy and playing great basketball.  Utah commit Riley Battin continues to be the glue that keeps Oak Park fans glued to their seats. Along with the Slajchert Brothers –   Oak Park has their eyes set on a D1 Championship title and rightfully so.  Coach Aaron Shaw has his team battled tested, playing against national powers such as Findley Prep (NV) and Rancho Solano Prep (AZ).  Not to mention Open Division squads Etiwanda, Bishop Montgomery, and Rancho Christian.   Look for Mr. Postman, Wes & Clark Slajchert, and Big E to be a bit too much for LB Poly to handle.

The Pick:
Oak Park

Pasadena (21-6, 13-1) @ Damien (24-6, 6-4) 7pm
Pasadena and Damien square off tonight, both teams looking to advance to the CIFSS D1 Final Four. The back court running mates of Damien’s Elijah McCullough and Cameron Shelton, face Pasadena’s Bryce Hamilton (UNLV) and Darius Brown II.  Pasadena fell out of the hoopla early on in the season, with tough outings at the Tarkanian Classic and the 2017 Classic @ Damien.  The Bulldogs are healthy and considered one of the favorites to win a DI Title, as well as making some noise during State Playoffs.  Pasadena must play arguably their best game tonight on the road against a Damien ball-club and head coach Mike LeDuc who bagged his 700th victory this season.  Look for both coaches to work some magic, trying to outwit their opponent at the end of the day.  This one will come done to who wants it the most and which team can execute/run their sets effectively down the stretch.
