#23 Kaiyah Corona
5’11 G/F
Class of 2019
AAU: West Coast Premier

Not quite sure why this young lady hasn’t landed on most, if not all, recruiting watch lists for major D1 programs for the Class of 2019.  Solid forward with the ability to play SG and SF with results.  Spot up shooter with solid mechanics, showing the ability to ball fake and get to the rack or hit her mid range jumper with confidence and consistency.   Defends well with a great motor. Solid re-bounder and help defender, makes her an all around prospects on both ends of the floor. Her passion for the game shows, as she comes ready with her game face on, focused and locked in on what she needs to do – willing and able to get buckets for her club in crunch time.  High IQ stud-muffin who limits her mistakes while showing leadership and poise on the court. Will need to shore up her lateral quickness, show more of an offensive mindset, and continue to develop her on the ball defensive pressure to become an elite prospect.   A major D1 recruit when it’s all said and done.

Brooke Demetre
6’2 Freshman Guard
Mater Dei High School
Class of 2021

Long athletic wing who not only showed promise from mid-range and beyond, but showed flashes of post play as well, during the 2018 Matt Denning Hoops Classic.  Handles well in traffic, reads the floor with vision and has good decision making skills with the rock in her hands. Smooth shooting stroke with nice mechanics and confidence in her shot / release.  Appears to be a natural born leader, as she exudes leadership to her teammates on several occasions throughout the game. Sky’s the limit for this young lady who should continue to grow and mature under her AAU club and the Mater Dei umbrella.  Will be a 5 star stud-muffin when she matures and expands her game through the rigors of HS playing time and on the AAU summer circuit.

5’4 JR PG
Fairmont Prep
Class of 2019
AAU:  Cal Swish Black

Quick and elusive PG with the rock, advanced leadership skills while running her team as a true floor general.  Smooth stroke from long range but can also shake and bake while getting to the rack and finishing with swag.  Keeps her poise during moments of stress, while being able to make plays, being a true extension of her coach.  High IQ point guard who uses her smarts to make plays.  Size may be an issue for scouts who consider her a bit small.  Elusive, athletic, prospect who should garner mid- major looks.

Khylee Pepe
6’0 Freshman Guard
Mater Dei High
Class of 2021

Out of all the players we watched during the 2018 Matt Denning Hoops Classic, none showed more promise with their  game than 2021 Guard Khylee Pepe.  Shows an un-canning feel for the game, as a freshman.  Advanced basketball IQ, catapulting her to a PopScout 5 Star stud-muffin as a freshman.  Big guard who handles with ease, while being able to triple threat and get buckets off the ball fake and bounce. Surprisingly does everything well at this stage of her game.  Sits on defense, showing a passion on both ends of the floor.  Should continue to develop her killer instinct, Continue to carry yourself as a top prospect young lady,  with confidence in your skills and ability to make plays.  If this young lady continues to develop and play the game the way she’s learning, Khylee will no doubt be one of the top prospects in her class for 2021.
