Back Court Running Mates

Each week PopScout takes a look at HS Hoops’ best back-courts – spotlighting  shot callers who pull the trigger for their perspective squads.  This week we take a look at Mayfair’s dynamic duo,  brothers Caleb Christopher and Josh Christopher.

Scouting Report:

Caleb is an outstanding defender and court general.  He has the ability to become an elite defender at the next level while wreaking havoc for opposing PG’s.  During ‘The 8’ tourney hosted by Big Foot Hoops (2017), Caleb was able to hold his own, showing great leadership skills during one of the top tourneys of the summer session.  Caleb shoots the ball extremely well from mid range and behind the arc, with a nice stroke and release point,  although he’ll need to consistently show that he can knock down the wet ball from 3pt land to keep defenders honest, thus allowing his stock to rise. Gets to the rack with poise and finishes because of his solid frame – which Caleb has an excellent body type for the point guard position.  Elite quickness as a ball handler with good vision and leadership skills – which are essential for D1 recruits. Forces the issue at times, as he times to want to get buckets at all costs – but can become a detriment to his team because of this. Caleb will land a top D1 offer(s) by seasons end.

Class of 2020
6’4 Shooting Guard
Mayfair High School(CA)
Scouting Report:

Athletic, strong, and solid shooting guard with all the intangibles to be the next big thing.  Jumps out the gym, shows superior athleticism on breaks,  while finishing among the trees. Consistently scores from all three levels of the court –  but must be patient, at times, because  -like is older bro – he tends to force the issue and makes turnovers as a result – showing his ‘youthfulness’ as a player.  Will definitely need to stay humble, while soaking up all the limelight he will garner in the years to come.  Freak of nature in terms of the things he can do  on the court, showing court savy-ness and an understanding of the game beyond his years.

Josh is the #2 player in the State of CA for the class of 2020, and rightfully so.  Those who haven’t seen this young man play, will soon be following him around seeking YouTube hits and subscribers.
